I am not only a pacifist but a militant pacifist. I am willing to fight for peace. Nothing will end war unless the people themselves refuse to go to war.

Let the mountain bike races begin
So nice to get some fresh mountain air; gets the creative juices a flowin. Tonz of shit is now in the process of being produced.
I hiked up to Squaw peak the other day. The view from the top was incredibly beautiful; most of it was blanketed in clouds. I regret that I didn't bring my camera, although, it’s an experience that I will never forget.

It was under my nose all along
I found an entry I wrote, in what I thought to be my old diary, while I was packing the other day. I'm sure I was super stressed out at the time because I don't remember writing this.
October 2007:
I'm freaking out. I'm wondering why I'm still having the same problems with the same issues that I had 10 years ago. Why can't I let these things go?
There is pressure to know the origins of this creativity. It's all over the place. Just sit and focus, figure it out while I do all this other shit on the side. All this time is filled up with worry; takes up all the room so there is little left.
There is this shell that I seem to be trapped in. It seems to get thicker with age. I have found ways to free myself from this shell; the more successful ones are short lived and not the best for my health. Some say experience can either liberate you from this crust or encapsulate you even more to a fossilized end (?). Art is one way for me to free myself from containment. I'm able to project my inner feelings onto something that is tangible, something that will exist in real space. I can hold onto it and make it manifest into something positive. There can be so much fear, anxiety, any type of negativity and this is a way of turning it into something beautiful and or positive. A friend of mine asked me what artists I've been looking at, what is it about the artist's work that I'm interested in, and what is its importance in relation to my work? You'd think I would have a simple answer for that but I don't... more research I spose. I've claimed that my work is about my love of nature but I know it goes much deeper than that. It's about:
nature
animate nature
Life, death, rebirth (?)
loss
growth
impulse
aleatory
ambiguity
confusion
vulnerability
strength
pain
Basically these things are being projected onto the work that is being produced.
