How am I supposed to get to school!
I'm planning on workin on my soft sculpture. I have no idea what I'm going to do, and I have a feeling that it's going to be not so good. Won't know till I try though. I do tend to surprise myself sometimes.

shom shtuff

Margarette and Toby (The folks that run the Mack B gallery) are going to do studio visits tomorrow. They have decided to do things a little differently this year by curating the final Ringling senior show. Last years show was a bit of a mess, according to both the Ringling faculty and the Mack B folk, therefore they want to try a new approach and see how it works. I'm fine either way I spose. I don't have really big plans for the show cause I'm pretty pooped as it is. I'm a little bumbed though cause I think the Miami show isn't happening anymore..... that sucks.
Here are shom newlings. I'm planning on creating a large scale soft sculpture soon, possibly one that can be entered. A video colab with Fran Fran may be coming in the near future as well. Whoo! exciting...

Wise words from a friend
Maybe we should...
just step outside of the box for a sec.
because nothing is set in stone, and there is no formula for art or life.
so everyone should quit restricting themselves.
do what you do, challenge and question everything.
because art is anything and everything... which then means it is nothing.
Have two new paintings done, will post soon. We're setting up for the cosmix show next week and I have no idea how I'm going to do this. They tell me I'm going to install my landscapesk paintings by pinning them to screens in the courtyard... not quite sure how well that's going to hold up but we'll give it a shot.

Good News!
I finally finished my last of the series of figure/landscape paintings.
Although, I know I'm going to want to douse it with varnish when it dries... I won't; just for Bradley.

Internal revelation
I'm always guaranteed the most amazing introspective experiences in Utah... The only other place that had that kind of effect on me was Hawaii (Maui).

Golden Nugget!

Spring break has come and so I have been in Utah (and Nevada) since Monday. The moment that I arrived, I was picked up by Bron and little Mort. We rescued my dad from his job and we drove Straight to Wendover (Nevada) where we stayed at a lovely casino called the Golden Nugget; little Mort starts to giggle every time we say it. Anywhoo, we did a lot of eating, gambling, and driving. I took some pictures of the plane ride and the road trip...

This last set was taken at the salt flats in the northwestern part of Utah... pretty amazing place.
