During the past couple of months; my installations have evolved into a collaborative dialogue between Katie and Myself. I begin by creating an “environment” out of salvaged materials. Katie then responds to the “environment” however she chooses; No directions are given other than interacting with the work. I document each interaction with a digital camera. Once the interaction is finished and I’ve gotten documentation, I respond to them by creating 2D images. I draw the image, and paint a part of the image that I want to emphasize. The final product is suggestive of an ambiguous relationship between a figure, and an object or “environment”.
